Terms of service

1. What SplitSimple does

SplitSimple splits web traffic between two pages you already own and hosts elsewhere, records visits and conversions you report to it, and shows you a statistical comparison. It does not host, edit or proxy your pages.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secret, and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you think an account or key has been compromised. One person per login — share a workspace, not a password.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SplitSimple to:

  • Send traffic to pages that are illegal, deceptive, or that impersonate another business.
  • Track people who have opted out, or evade privacy controls you are legally required to honour.
  • Send inflated, fabricated or automated traffic and conversions.
  • Attempt to access another customer’s workspace or data.
  • Probe, scan or overload the service beyond the documented rate limits.

We may suspend a workspace that does any of these. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

4. Your data

Your experiments and results are yours. We process them to run the service, and we do not sell them. You can export or delete them at any time. We keep raw rows only for your plan’s retention window, and deletion is permanent.

5. Billing

  • Paid plans are monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. There are no partial refunds.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated by Stripe.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries. If it keeps failing, the workspace drops to the Free plan — it is not deleted.
  • Prices can change with 30 days’ notice by email.

6. Plan limits

Each plan includes a number of live experiments and tracked visitors per month. When you exceed the visitor allowance, new visitors stop being counted for the rest of the month. Your historical data stays intact and readable. We never silently delete data to enforce a limit.

7. No guarantee of results

SplitSimple reports statistical evidence, not certainty. A “winner” means the observed difference is unlikely to be chance under a sequential (always-valid) two-proportion test — it is not a promise that the page will keep performing better, and it is not business, legal or financial advice. You make the call.

8. Availability

We work hard to keep the redirect and ingestion endpoints up, because your ad traffic depends on them, but the service is provided as-is without an uptime guarantee unless we have signed something separate with you. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data arising from your use of the service.

10. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from your settings. We can terminate for a material breach of these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, your data is deleted after a short grace period.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
